Biography of Dmitry Tabachnik

Dmitry Tabachnik was born on November 26, , in Kyiv, Ukraine, to a family of engineers.

He became the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine in March Prior to this, he served as Deputy Prime Minister in the Ukrainian government twice, from and He was also elected to the Ukrainian Parliament in , , and From , Tabachnik was the head of the administration of the President of Ukraine. Tabachnik briefly worked as a film checker at the Central State Archive of Cinematography, Phonography, and Photo Documents of the Ukrainian SSR in He then attended the Historical Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv from During his time at the university, he was a member of the Komsomol organization and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

After graduating, Tabachnik worked as a correspondent for the "Kyiv University" newspaper and became a member of the Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
