Early life and career

Girolami was born in Italy on 25 January ^[1] He attended the London School of Economics.

Girolami joined Glaxo in as a Financial Controller.

Girolami married in ; his wife died in They had two sons and a daughter. He was knighted in the New Year Honours, when chairman of Glaxo Holdings.^[3]
