My education took me from Naparima College to the University of the West Indies, where I earned my Bachelor of Laws, and later to King’s College London for my Master’s in Intellectual Property, Information Technology, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
After completing my legal studies at Hugh Wooding Law School, I was called to the bar in , marking the beginning of a fulfilling career in law.
Before entering government, I practiced as a corporate and commercial attorney, handling everything from civil litigation to intellectual property and securities law.

I began my parliamentary journey as an Opposition Senator in , later being elected Member of Parliament for San Fernando West in and becoming Attorney General from to In , I was appointed Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, where I worked closely with communities to enhance infrastructure, improve access to resources, and build resilience in rural areas.
I’m particularly proud of projects like the San Fernando Waterfront Redevelopment and the Local Government Mobile App, which empower citizens and strengthen connections between government and communities.
Beyond politics, I’m a family man, a polyglot who loves exploring new cultures, and a supporter of charities close to my heart, including the Scout Movement and the Trinidad and Tobago Karate Association.
I believe in the power of collective effort to create meaningful change.
